Vertica Alter Schema

Syntax 

ALTER SCHEMA [db-name.]schema-name [ , ... ]
... RENAME TO new-schema-name [ , ... ]
Parameters
  • [db-name.] -the current database name
  • schema-name -the name of one or more schemas to rename.
  • RENAME TO -new schema names.
    • Examples how to alter a schema in Vertica <
  • Alter the name of one schema:
    • ALTER SCHEMA schema_one
    RENAME TO schema_two;
  • Alter the name of more schemas at once:
    • ALTER SCHEMA schema_one, schema_two
    RENAME TO schema_1,schema_2;
