Oracle Solution for Error ora-38801

ORA-38801: improper value for ORA_EDITION

What triggered the Error:

An improper value was used for ORA_EDITION when trying to specify an edition to use at login time. The value is not understandable as an identifier, or is too long.

What should we do to fix it:

Correct the value for ORA_EDITION and try again.
