Oracle Solution for Error ora-31068

ORA-31068: updateXML expected data format [string

] instead of [string

]

What triggered the Error:

An attempt was made to use updateXML to update data with a node of the incorrect type. Text and attribute nodes must be updated with string data, whereas element nodes must be updated with XMLType data.

What should we do to fix it:

Use CREATEXML or getStringVal to coerce the new data to the proper format.
