Oracle Solution for Error ora-19655

ORA-19655: cannot switch to incarnation with different RESETLOGS data

What triggered the Error:

is SWITCHTOCOPY operation is attempting to switch to a datafile which comes from a different RESETLOGS version of the database.

What should we do to fix it:

ther restore a backup control file that was taken from the same database version as the target datafile copy, or switch to a different datafile copy.
