ORA-19630: end of volume encountered while copying backup piece

What triggered the Error:

ile copying a backup piece from the OS native file system to an output device, the output device encountered end-of-volume.

What should we do to fix it:

e copy fails. This could happen if a tape was used which is not large enough to hold the entire backup piece.
