Oracle Solution for Error ora-16831

ORA-16831: operation disallowed on this standby database type

What triggered the Error:

The Data Guard broker operation was disallowed on the standby database type.

What should we do to fix it:

Check the documentation for the correct standby database type and reissue the Data Guard broker command to another standby database that is of the correct standby database type.
