ORA-12818: invalid option in PARALLEL clause

What triggered the Error:

an unrecognized option was used within a PARALLEL clause.

What should we do to fix it:

specify any combination of DEGREE { | DEFAULT } and INSTANCES { | DEFAULT } within the PARALLEL clause.
