Oracle Solution for Error ora-06256

ORA-06256: NETNTT: remote fork failed

What triggered the Error:

The Oracle listener process on the cube could not fork off a shadow process.

What should we do to fix it:

The instance you are trying to connect to probably doesn't have enough memory to run another shadow process. Ask someone else to log off, or connect to a different instance.
