Oracle Solution for Error ora-02779

ORA-02779: Stat failed on core dump directory

What triggered the Error:

The package was unable to get information about the directory into which the servers are to dump core in the event of an exception.

What should we do to fix it:

Check the permissions on the directory or use a different directory name.
