Oracle Solution for Error ora-01607

ORA-01607: cannot add logfile to the specified instance

What triggered the Error:

The limit on the number of instances supported by the control file has been reached.

What should we do to fix it:

Use an instance name supported by the control file, or resize the thread record and/or checkpoint progress record secions of the control file.
