Installing HP Vertica 7.0 Management Console

1- Download the HP Vertica Management Console software from Vertica website. You will need to have an account with then in order for you to have acesso.

2- Install the rpm package on to your host.

The host that will receive the installation can be one of the nodes if this is just a test environment. It is not recommended to install on a Vertica Server node in a production environment.

The installation is easy and requires root access.

3- After you have finished the install process, access the url provided during the installation. Read the license and accept it.

4- Provide the necessary information such as dbadmin user password and it's UNIX group id etc...

5- Configure storage location.

6- Choose the authentication mode.

7 - Logg in to the HP Vertica Management Console

8 - Welcome to the HP Vertica Management Console main window.
