Oracle Solution for Error ora-12677

ORA-12677: Authentication service not supported by database link

What triggered the Error:

The authentication service used by the proxy process (database link) was unable to find the adapter being used by the client in its list of authentication mechanisms.

What should we do to fix it:

Specify an authentication adapter that is shared by the client and the server being used for the database link.
